Pool

With us running out of ideas of what to do, I guess the Boy and I decided to ‘regress’ back into our childhood years when we started playing what you call ‘teenage games’. Hence, with lots of time to kill on Friday night as we decided to catch a late night movie of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, we decided to play pool in order to kill some time.

I feel that his shot of me is way cooler than my shot of him.

So yup, that’s me playing pool again since like one year ago? I’m pretty rusty, though I’m glad I didn’t do too badly (at least my breaking of the game has improved!). Still, that didn’t stop him from winning all the games… =(

Swimming Time

Over the weekend, the Boy and myself finally got ourselves to a sports complex for a swimming session =) It’s been donkey years since we finally got ourselves there, as I was lacking a decent swim suit, while he did not have a pair of goggles. Little did we know that getting these items took us so long!

But we finally got down to it, as we headed to Jurong West Swimming Complex. Check out all the water slides!!

While i really looked like fun, I was more focused on getting my dose of exercise. So, 12 laps it was, in which I ached pretty badly after that… And while I was really tempted in trying out the slides, I was intimidated by all the kids…  Still, that didn’t stop me from trying out a little wave pool that goes around the water slides, very much like the one Fantasy Island had last time. However, due to the lack of floats, all we could was to let the current swish us along the pool, which the Boy had quite some trouble due to his long legs as claimed by him =) For me on the other hand, I had quite a fun time just letting the current carry me along. It felt really therapeutic =D

So yea, that’s us at the end of our water-splashing session. And yup, my face became so pale, the Boy attributed it to osmosis. But then again, he attributed all body-changing- stuff-during-swimming to osmosis =)

The Unguarded Moment

The Boy and I headed out to yet another exhibition. This time it was The Unguarded Moment by Steve McCurry, the famous photographer who captured the striking ‘Afghan Girl’ photo that was featured on the cover of National Geographic.

While I really enjoyed looking at his photos, I’m just slightly bumped that it couldn’t have been a bigger exhibition. With all the lovely lighting and great moments captured, I’m really inspired by Steve’s work.  Here’s a quote by him that I like:

If you wait, people will forget your camera and the soul will drift up into view.

Yes, I remember the times when I used to wait before I snapped a picture. And I will continue to learn and be patient, for photography is about capturing the unguarded moment, the human experience.

But that’s also not forgetting to capture my joyous moments spent with the Boy too =)

A Product Shoot

A work requirement saw me going back to my office last weekend, as the Boy was kind enough to accompany me. Why?

Because I needed his help in a photo shoot! =)

With the need to take nicer pictures for a more professional catalogue, I needed the Boy’s DSLR. But, why not the better photographer to take pictures as compared to a noob like me? Heh… As a result, he gladly obliged, much to my happiness because the photos turned out way nicer than mine when I used it the other time =)

Here’s a little preview to one of our product.

Anyway, I hope you guys didn’t think that I left the Boy to ‘drown’, for I was being a very helpful assistant! Making sure that we kept to schedule (for we had other things planned), and preparing all the items for him were my job tasks.

So even though we had to head all the way back to my department on a weekend, go through the temperature taking and contact tracing booth and burning our early morning time, we still had so much fun!

Many many thanks to my Boy for all his efforts =)

Christian Lacroix Exhibition

I am sooo glad that the boy was very willing to head down to the National Museum with me just to catch the Christian Lacroix Exhibition with me even though he was not very interested in it.

Getting a chance to see the different types of costumes, it was really cool! Not to mention that I could ‘learn’ some of the costumes design from him.

Plus, there were sketches for me to enjoy too! I really have no idea why I like fashion illustration, but I just do. I just hope that one day, I can get to produce such illustrations too. Not to his standard, for I think that is really quite difficult, but at least decent enough for me to see and appreciate =)

And what’s the special surprise for the exhibition that made the visit all the a worthwhile one? We got free entry!

How’s that for going to something that I like with the boy just by my side. He’s just the best boyfriend just for me! Ahehe =)
