With so many shows that I would want to catch, it was no surprise that each day of the weekend was spent catching at least one movie.

With that, I caught two movies with so called powers: Race to Witch Mountain and Push. While I went in with no expectations, I was actually quite blown away by the film. Maybe I’m easily entertained, but I really enjoyed both movies.
Which leads me to the next question. If we all could one day choose what super power we would like to have, what would it be? As usual with our after-movie-discussion, I know that The Boy prefers a more offensive super power like telekinesis, though I did bring up the point that while it might be really cool to move objects with our mind, I do think that the most powerful of all ability would be the power to control other people’s mind. Think Professor X or Jean Grey. As boring as it might be because all you do is to defend by controlling others, imagine the power in your hands when you can control others to do your bidding! =)

The last movie that I caught is actually not so much of a movie, but a documentary. Running all the way to the West, the Boy was kind enough to accompany me to the Ominmax theatre to watch Sea Monsters (not that I think he minded though, for he was staying in the West!).
The film was tracking the life of a Dolichorhynchops, or Doli for short. It was quite cute, as it was to me, a combination of a seal and a dolphin, albeit a slightly uglier looking combination. And sitting in a theatre of noisy kids screaming and crying all around me, I am glad that they tired of the noise-making-process soon, and settled down to just watching the show. Thankfully, the show didn’t disappoint either =)
Till then, more movies for me to watch, with Hotel for Dogs and Confessions of a Shopaholic up next!
