On New Year’s Eve

The Boy and I decided to spend the time at Clarke Quay…

Indulging ourselves at Waraku Central, we stuffed ourselves full, while waiting for night fall in order to catch the hype that is happening at Clarke Quay itself. However, we were a little too early, as we realised that the festivities only kick off at 10pm.

As such, we decided that we did not want to wait for more than an hour, as we decided to take a slow walk back. (With me hating crowds, we thought that we’d give the fireworks a miss this year).

That was when we chanced upon a lighted Elgin Bridge.

I never knew that Elgin Bridge had many colours to it, but I felt that the red lights were the nicest of the lot.

And one can never get enough of photos =)

Japanese Garden

The weekend saw me heading to the Western part of Singapore, as I have never been to the Japanese Garden, and was curious to see how it’s like. And with the Boy staying so close to the gardens, he cheerfully accompanied me.

After a very long and painful walk to the Japanese Garden (no thanks to my new ballet shoes), we finally made it!! While the entrance boasts nothing except for a white pebble path and some greens, the inside had a more picturesque view, with the pond and its bridges.

The best part was that because of its ‘ulu’ venue, there weren’t many people there except for avid bird photographers and portraiture photographers. Hence, it was really nice and peaceful.

And we could see the faraway Chinese Garden pagoda

Anyway, what’s a visit to a place without much photos?

But I’m sure this will not be our one and only visit to the garden =)

First Christmas With The Boy

It was nice to meet up with the Boy after work, as we made our way to Bugis to chill out and do some shopping. Minus some unhappy moments due to external factors (no, we did not get mad with each other!), it was lovely to have him by my side in this year’s rainy Christmas.

Walking around as we made our way into Intercontinental Hotel, we chanced upon a lovely spot.

And so, Merry Christmas to you my dear boy… Many thanks for all the presents, they were lovely! =)
