What caught my attention first was the trailer soundtrack when I went to the cinema to catch another movie. I never looked back, as it only serve to spur me on to want to catch the show. I never regretted my choice.
It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves ~ William Shakespeare
That makes you ponder a lot about fate don’t you? How much do you believe in fate/destiny? How much do you believe that you hold the key to your own future?
It’s better to have loved and lost then never to have loved before.
Ah yes, the most cliché phrase of it all. How people use to tell us all in an attempt to comfort our breaking hearts. Perhaps when I was younger, I believed in it. Not until my past experiences told me that I rather not have loved and lost, because the pain was just too hard to bear.
In three words, I can sum up everything I’ve learnt about life: It goes on ~ Robert Feart
It hurt. Yes it hurt like hell. And it took me a while before I built myself back up again. But as painful as it was, I realised that as much as I preferred not to have loved and lost, through the process, it made me a stronger person, a better person. I learnt to move on, I learnt how to be happy again, I learnt how to look at the positive in the negative that happened around me. Just like how Corrinne May’s song resonated in my ears when they played “Scars”. Scars make us stronger for life…
A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it ~ Jean de La Fontaine
This I do believe. I remember how I realised one day that the harder we try to run away from something, the faster it actually catches up with us, hitting us harder than before when we’ve ran for too long a time. I tried running away before, or avoiding it, only to find out in the end that it was not meant to be. So, rather than fight it, should we embrace it? In that case, like the very first quote, how much of destiny do we hold in our hands?
Coincidence is God’s way of reminding anonymous ~ Albert Einstein
Maybe so…
If you are not too long, I will wait for you all my life ~ Oscar Wilde
And yes, I teared like a waterfall again. As usual… =P
