Heely Pursuits
After so long, I finally found a black pair of high heels that I like!!

Tadah!!

As usual, my mom thinks otherwise, as she was appalled at the height of my new-found love. But then, it’s just too pretty!! =P

And what better way to match it than with my newly painted navy blue nails? Muahaha…
Thumper

Who would have thought that the person going to Thumper with me would be one of my good friends, Kelly =) With a sudden epiphany of not having enough experience in life, she asked if I would like to accompany her to Thumper. Seeing that it is another bar that I’ve yet to step into, (plus there is beer/alcohol on the cards), why not?
What turned out to be a novel experience for the both of us became a really wonderful catch up session with her. It was truly heartwarming to be sharing with each other the on-goings in our life, and dish out advice where necessary. Thanks a million babe!
With a cool ambiance and live band performing, it was a night to remember. More so because after registering and ordering drinks, it was to our huge surprise that the biometrics system (exclusive to Thumper where all you need is your thumb for a one-time registration and subsequent drink orders) didn’t seem to capture my lovely fine prints. So what was the end result? We didn’t have to pay a cent for the drinks due to the system malfunction! What a fluke! (Which I believe would never happen again). But hey, we both aren’t complaining, as Kelly and I then got high while enjoying our good luck for the night =)
And to end off this happy entry, I’ve also discovered another chill-out khaki! So what more can I ask for? Babe, please go train up your drinking skills k? If not, you would be missing out more! Heh… =)
*Bouncing Out!*
Unexpected
Chilling out over a cupa tea, even if it was for only one hour, was absolutely lovely.
My treat next time =)
Of Lightness and Weight
I cannot help but continuously fall in love with Ericia’s writings…
I’ve been thinking about stories behind each of us lately.
Are there stories you would never want to share, and hide them till you die?
Or vice versa, stories you would never want to hear, to know, to find out?
Assuming a new person you meet today, makes up a story in your life, and of course, plays a part in moulding the person you are to date.
Are you getting me?
Are you scared/intimidated of/by meeting people who met a lot of people?
People with too much stories.
Do you wonder about the stories behind these people?
Do i sound most confusing?
This leads me to Kundera’s writing on lightness and weight.
I feel like reading it through once again.
Have you met a man who makes you think he holds both lightness and weight?
I think i should start hold more faith and pray i get a happier heartbeat soon.
Here’s a part from “Unbearable Lightness of Being”
“But is heaviness truly deplorable and lightness splendid?
The heaviest of burdens crushes us, we sink beneath it, it pins us to the ground. But in the love poetry of every age, the woman longs to be weighed down by the man’s body.
The heaviest of burdens is therefore simultaneously an image of life’s most intense fulfilment.
The heavier the burden, the closer our lives come to the earth, the more real and truthful they become.
Conversely, the absolute absence of a burden causes man to be lighter than air,
to soar to the heights, take leave of the earth and his earthly being, and become only half real, his movements as free as they are insignificant. What then shall we choose? Weight or lightness?”
A person in your life, a story.
A story, a weight.
The more the stories, the heavier one weighs.
How “heavy” or “light” a person is to you… i guess depends on your ideal weight in a person, a partner.
No one wants an ignorant partner, neither do one wants a partner with too much past.
What is your ideal weight and length of the stories belonging to that person?
These are the many questions which she has wonderfully phrased for me, for me to challenge myself more, for me to find my direction in life. I still have a long way to go, but thanks Ericia =)
